HI Guyz
I have been working in the electrical industry exactly 3 months as of today. In this short time i saw the importance of sharing knowledge. While googling for advice on the designs that i was asked to do i found that there is a dearth of public knowledge in a common forum. Because of this we are always required to reinvent the wheel and not improve it.The gist is , i am frustrated with the fact that there is not much stuff and advice that is freely available for newbie engineers like me.
So this is what i promise i will do. In all the engineering work i do i will explain the engineering principles and how i applied it to the real world application. I will attach any calculations , photos and other stuff required.
My background
Born in 1986, i did ALs in Srilanka in 2005 and Completed my Electrical Engineering Degree in 2010 September.
I did get through with a first class and ended up ranked second in my batch of 70 who Majored in power engineering.
Immediately after graduating i got a job at the major private electrical engineering firm in Srilanka "LTL Projects".
I am currently involved in the electrical design team for Local designs. Mainly New substations and Augmentation of old ones.
I also have an interest in energy policy and economics, Toastmastering and all kinds of martial arts. To be frank i never miss any UFC/TUF fights, K1 fights or boxing fights involving Manny Pacman. I am practicing Kyokushin karate but work seems to have corroded into my karate workouts :( .
